Drink Japan is back on 10 & 11 October 2025
IMPORTANT UPDATE : Change of venue to ROYAL HORTICULTURAL HALL in Victoria
Drink Japan has regretfully had to change venue due to a burst water main in the Marylebone area right next to St. Marys. This has flooded the whole downstairs area and has made the venue inoperable for the event. It is likely the venue will be closed for months for repairs. Please see here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cx2n5v024j5o
So the new venue is The Lindley Hall, Elverton St, London SW1P 2PB. This offers Drink Japan more space and to have the whole event on the same floor, bigger stage more space! We will be contacting all visitors in advance to inform them of this change.
Drink Japan will be on 10 & 11 October as planned.
Drink Japan is created to showcase the best of Japanese beverage brands and selected artisan products to London!
Drink Japan provides visitors invaluable opportunities to meet artisan producers from the UK, companies that import Japanese products and also Japanese producers bringing new and exclusive products from Japan for the event.
Uniquely, Drink Japan will allow visitors to sample of the products, and buy them directly from the exhibitors.
The spirit of Drink Japan is ‘Tradition Reborn’. We are excited to introduce a new image beyond traditional expectations to integrate with European lifestyle. Our mindset will be innovative and pioneering to move forward and
bring a new image of Japan in Europe.
Please note: Drink Japan is for over guests over 18 years old only.

ORIENTARHYTHM is an artist group who expresses “movements”, “rhythms” and “the spirit theory” unique to Japanese traditional culture(especially Japanese traditional martial arts “BUDO”) as an art, And disseminate it to the world and inform it. And I hope that our performance will be a catalyst for knowing Japanese culture.
In the past, the Japanese created various “Combat skill” from the life-threatening struggle that focused only on winning. Then, the skill and spirit were passed down from those who survived the battle to the next generation, and “Combat skill” became “Bujyutsu(Japanese Ancient traditional martial arts)” in which extra things were scraped off.
Furthermore, it matured over time and became a “Budo” with the meaning of “The Way” added.
(The meaning of “The Way” is the correct way of life for humans.)
We have found new value in the skill and spirituality that has been sharpened to the limit of this Budo.
Sophisticated Technique can be seen as beauty, and peculiar spirituality can be seen as a message that solves modern problems. We found that Budo have the potential to enrich people’s lives and make the world peaceful.

Pictogram Exhibition
Pictograms are part of everyday life, guiding us through stations, screens, streets and more. But where did they come from, and how do they speak so clearly without words? Japan House London invites you to explore the story of pictograms and Japan’s quietly influential role in their evolution: from the 1964 Tokyo Olympic Games to the global spread of ‘emoji’. Discover over 600 contemporary Japanese pictograms, trace their visual roots through time, and try your hand at creating your own. Guests can even become part of life-size pictograms, standing beneath a torii gate, sizing up to a sumo wrestler, or stepping into the role of a Japanese train driver. For the first time, see new works created by young people in the UK, each expressing ‘their London’ in pictogram form. A quietly powerful celebration of design and communication, Pictograms: Iconic Japanese Designs is open at Japan House London until 9 November.

"DASSAI," meaning "otter festival," comes from our region's history of otters displaying their catches like a festival. The name also honors Masaoka Shiki, a haiku poet who revolutionized Japanese literature and used "Dassai" as a penname due to his scattered papers resembling otters' spread-out fish.
Respecting his revolutional spirit, our sake-making philosophy, "Making sake is making dreams: opening a new era of sake," we strive to spread Japanese food and drink culture around the world.
We aim to innovate sake crafting and not simply adhere to tradition in order to create unparalleled flavours.
